Indian Cave State ParkIndian Cave State Park boasts of 3,052 rugged acres on the mighty Missouri River. Located 10 miles south of Brownville, Nebraska, Indian Cave is a pristine area, devoted to camping, hiking, picnicking, nature and wilderness activities, with horseback trail rides available in season. The park contains a majestic hardwood forest, shrubs and other flora; a perfect setting for Indian Cave's 22 miles of hiking trails. For the history buff there's a restored schoolhouse and a general store from the old river town of St. Deroin, where old-time crafts are demonstrated on summer weekends. A ramp offers river access for boaters, and for the back-to-nature enthusiast Adirondack shelters are found along the trails. For horse lovers, the park has a special camping area for those who bring their mounts to the park. |
