Historic Daniel Boone Home & Boonesfield VillageThe Historic Daniel Boone Home and Boonesfield Village are collectively a registered National Historic Site located in Defiance, Missouri. The Daniel Boone home overlooks the Boonesfield Village, comprised of over a dozen 19th century buildings offering visitors a glimpse into life on the old frontier, and a chance to appreciate the work ethic and dedication these men and women possessed. The one hour tour of the Boone home interprets the 200 year old, Georgian style home of Daniel Boone, starting with several points of interest before entering the home itself. Once inside, you will see three floors of the immense home including the kitchen, dining room, and Daniel Boone’s bedroom. Highlights of the one hour tour of Boonesfield Village include the schoolhouse, the carpenter’s shop, a grist mill, and the Old Peach Chapel. |
