Juniper Campground: Theodore Roosevelt National Park - North Unit

Located within the Theodore Roosevelt National Park in Medora, North Dakota is the Juniper Campground. This year round campground, situated in the North Unit of the park, does not take reservations and is operated on a first come, first served basis. There are pull-through sites for RVs, but no hookups. The park is located in the badlands of western North Dakota. Within the park, there is a beautiful scenic drive, there are exhibits in the visitor center, or guests can take a self-guided tour through Roosevelt’s Maltese Cross Cabin. The park and surrounding areas are the perfect place to do some hiking, fishing, horseback riding, camping, biking, canoeing or kayaking, wildlife viewing, or in the winter try some cross country skiing or snowshoeing.
