Onawa Things To Do

Blue Lake KOA

In the heart of the Loess Hills, along the Lewis and Clark Trail, the quiet Onawa/Blue Lake KOA is situated among shady trees and open areas. The scenic formations of the Loess Hills, which were created thousands of years ago by silt deposits from the Missouri River, offer some of the most spectacular views around. Visit the Lewis & Clark Interpretive Center and the Sioux City Art Center in nearby Sioux City or head about an hour to Omaha to enjoy the many attractions there, including the famous Henry Doorly Zoo. Enjoy a relaxing day of fishing on the Blue Lake or head to the Blackbird Bend Speedway if speed is more your style. The campground offers RV and tent sites, as well as cabins, and boasts amenities such as a swimming pool, fun cycles, fishing, paddle boats, and wireless internet.
