The Alta Ranch

Tucked away in the picturesque Bitterroot Mountains of Darby, Montana is the Alta Ranch. The ranch offers four authentic log cabin vacation homes that are spread out over 150 acres, providing loads of privacy while you enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Take in views of the wildlife right from your front porch, including moose, deer, elk, bald eagles and other small mammals and birds. A portion of the Bitterroot River flows directly through the ranch, providing excellent trout fishing opportunities. Other recreational activities available on the ranch include hiking, biking, cross country skiing, skating, snowshoeing, gold panning, canoeing, and campfires. There are also float trips down the river, natural hot springs, horseback trail rides, and additional fishing located nearby.
