Cooney State ParkCooney State Park is located on Cooney Reservoir 40 minutes south of Billings, Montana. Cooney Reservoir provides great opportunities for water sports and fishing. Great catches include walleye and rainbow trout- bring them to the fish cleaning station and prepare for dinner! A dock and ramp are provided conveniently for boating, here. Boat trailer parking is also available. Swimming, bicycling, and picnicking are some of the other favorite activities at Cooney State Park. In the wintertime, ice fishing and cross country skiing make this park an all year long recreational attraction. There are five campgrounds around the lake which provide options with electricity and RV camping. The picnic sites are provided with grills, fire rings, and tables.
