Maryhill State ParkMaryhill State Park was named by Sam Hill, who built a “castle” here for his daughter Mary. The “castle” later became the Maryhill Museum of Art and is open to the public. Maryhill State Park is located on the Columbia River in Klickitat County of the state of Washington. Sam Hill also constructed a replica of England’s mythic Stonehenge structure. The Stonehenge site is available to visitors just one mile from the park. Water skiing, sailboarding, and other river activities make this park quite the draw for water sports enthusiasts. There are two boat ramps and 216 feet of dock provided. Maryhill State Park’s 99 acres of land and 4,700 feet of waterfront make this a key spot for a great family vacation. Campgrounds and picnic shelters are scattered throughout the park, providing for perfect places to regroup in between all the park’s great opportunities for fun.
