Conboy Lake National Wildlife RefugeThe Conboy Lake National Wildlife Refuge is located in southern Washington, along the east slope of the Cascade Mountains and at the base of Mount Adams. The refuge contains 6,500 acres of marshy wetlands, grasslands, conifer forests and deep water, which provide the perfect environment for the resident deer, coyote, elk, otter, beaver, and many species of birds, reptiles, amphibians and fish that call the area home. There are also bald eagles, sandhill cranes and Oregon spotted frogs in the refuge. Visitors to the area can enjoy observing and photographing the beautiful scenery and wildlife, hiking, fishing and hunting. |
