Sacajawea State ParkSacajawea State Park features 284 acres nestled at the confluence of the Snake and Columbia rivers. Boasting 9,100 feet of freshwater shoreline, the park spreads out pleasantly under the vast sky with marvelous views of the rivers’ confluence. Sacajawea State Park is located five miles out of Pasco, WA and is a day-use heaven for tourists and local outdoor enthusiasts. Two boat ramps with 200 feet of dock and 70 feet of moorage are provided. Start your boating adventure from the launch in the park’s protected lagoon. A Northwest Discovery Water Trail camp site is available for paddlers heading downriver. The Sacajawea Interpretive Center offers interactive exhibits about the Lewis and Clark Expedition from the perspective of the Shoshone Indian woman who helped them along their travels. This is a great place to spend the day exploring and picnicking on the great floodplain of Lake Missoula which submerged the area 12,000 years ago.
