Randall Creek Recreation Area

The Randall Creek Recreation Area begins the Wild and Scenic section of the great Missouri River in Lake Andes, SD. Enjoy the numerous water sports activities available. Boating, kayaking, and canoeing are major attractions at this beautiful nature retreat. Fishing for walleye, northern pike, bass, and catfish is popular and there is a fish cleaning station provided. The recreation area features 132 camp sites equipped with electricity, showers, and drinking water. Three camp sites are wheelchair accessible. Four cabins are provided on the grounds, and each sleeps up to four people. Randall Creek Recreation Area affords grand opportunities for wildlife viewing and its bald eagle roost area is a designated National Natural Landmark. Several nearby historical sites include the Fort Randall Military Post, Fort Randall Chapel Ruins, as well as the Fort Randall Dam and Powerhouse. The shoreline is breathtaking and the waters offer all the exhilaration that you need for a perfect vacation!
