Dr. Edmund A. Babler Memorial State ParkDr. Edmund A. Babler Memorial State Park is a perfect getaway just minutes from downtown St. Louis, MO. Jacob L. Babler dedicated his energies to develop this monumental nature park and to venerate his brother, the St. Louis surgeon. Basic and electric campsites are available for those who wish to stay overnight. Three expansive picnic shelters and more than 200 picnic sites dapple the park. After lunch, take advantage of the 2,400 acres of nature and hike along one of the trails! Visitors with special needs will find this park to be most welcoming; the Jacob L. Babler Outdoor Education Center features a swimming pool (with ramp), heated cabins, campfire and game areas, an archery field, a ¾ mile accessible trail, and its own dining halls.
